Andrew P. Corty, President & Publisher

Andy Corty is president of Trend Magazines, Inc. and publisher of Florida Trend, the statewide magazine that is widely read by 250,000 business executives, government officials, and civic trend-setters. As publisher, Corty is responsible for Trend’s monthly content in both print and digital products, and for all business operations. He joined Times Publishing Company, Trend Magazines’ parent company, in 1978 as assistant to the publisher. He left the Times for a five-year stint at The Washington Post, returning in 1989 as the marketing director for what is now the Tampa Bay Times. Corty is also a director and the corporate secretary for Times Publishing and a trustee of The Poynter Institute, the nonprofit school that owns the Times. He received his bachelor’s from Harvard College and his master’s from Stanford Graduate School of Business. A graduate of Leadership St. Petersburg and Leadership Florida, he serves as trustee and treasurer of the Salvador Dali Museum and on the board of Enterprise Florida, among other activities.
