Established in 2009 as a partnership between the public sector and private corporate Investors, the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council is the lead designated economic development agency for Hillsborough County and the cities of Tampa, Plant City, and Temple Terrace, and an official partner of Enterprise Florida, Inc.
The Tampa Bay EDC has attracted some of the brightest business leaders in the Tampa Bay community. Each year, new executive officers are elected to help lead the organization on yet another successful year.
Working with corporate executives, site selection consultants, real estate professionals, and other influential decision-makers, the Tampa Bay EDC provides customized, confidential relocation and expansion services to domestic and international companies interested in growing their business in Hillsborough County. Locally, we help our existing businesses access the tools and resources they need to succeed.
The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council exists because of the generous support of more than 100 corporations, the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, and the cities of Tampa, Plant City and Temple Terrace.
Without the support of the governments of Hillsborough County and the cities of Plant City, Tampa, and Temple Terrace, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Our government partners play a vital role in helping us support local businesses and attracting businesses to Hillsborough County.
