Advanced Airfoil Components opens 210,000 square-foot facility in Hillsborough County

Last year the Tampa Hillsborough EDC announced that Advanced Airfoil Components, a joint venture between Siemens USA and Chromalloy, chose Hillsborough County for its headquarters. On Friday, October 26, Advanced Airfoil Components celebrated its opening with employees, partners and leadership.

 

In this FOX 13 News – Tampa Bay video, learn more about Advanced Airfoil Components brand new 210,000 square-foot advanced manufacturing facility HQ located at 13124 U.S. Highway 41, near Big Bend Road, in Gibsonton. The facility already has 75 employees and plans to add more equipment and a total of 350 high-skilled jobs over the next five years.

 

Local leaders say the plant is a huge win for the county.

 

“This is the kind of keynote and signature project that will continue to help us grow and develop the manufacturing industry in the Tampa Bay region,” said Jim Weiss, the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation 2021 Incoming Chairman.
