Newgentek to hire up to 20 new local employees in the next 24 months

TAMPA, Fla. – (June 21, 2018) – Newgentek, an information technology company that designs, installs and supports technology infrastructure and workspaces, today announced that it has expanded its North American headquarters in Tampa. The homegrown company will hire 20 new local employees and invest $500,000 in the project.

“In the last 90 days the Newgentek team has grown 24% and is now operating at 80% capacity in our facility. With the anticipated growth through Tampa and surrounding cities, we anticipate this trend continuing over the next 24 months. This trend will require us to further expand our team and outreach,” said Jared Lederhandler, President of Newgentek.

Newgentek was founded in 2017 by a group of IT entrepreneurs and professionals to provide end-to-end, turnkey technology solutions for multi-unit operators, hospitality and enterprise clients. For multi-unit operators like restaurants and retailers, Newgentek sets up uniform IT standards that can be deployed across all locations. In the corporate space, the company builds user-friendly, functional workspaces that promote productivity with tools such as wireless technology, huddle spaces, and sound masking.

The Tampa Hillsborough EDC assisted Newgentek with property searches and connections to workforce resources like training grants. The company’s 6,400 square-foot facility located at 5555 W. Waters Ave., Suite 610 in Tampa is home base for its design, engineering and help desk services.

Newgentek joins a growing number of technology companies that have recently chosen to expand their operations in Tampa and Hillsborough County, including TransferWise, Revature, and Vendita.

“Newgentek is a great success story illustrating how a young company can grow quickly when it has access to highly-skilled talent and a pro-business climate,” said Alan F. List, MD, chairman of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation and president and CEO of Moffitt Cancer Center. “We’re proud of our homegrown technology companies, and the EDC team is committed to supporting Newgentek’s continued growth in Tampa.”
