Tampa Bay Export Alliance selects Frankfurt as next FDI mission

You are invited to join the Tampa Bay Export Alliance as a delegate on their first FDI-focused mission to Frankfurt, Germany, May 15-19!

Germany is the fourth largest investor in Florida, accounting for over 25,000 jobs. The announcement of direct flights to Germany on Lufthansa Airlines was a pivotal moment for the Tampa Bay market. Lufthansa carried 113,491 passengers in FY16 with an economic impact of $47 million. This mission will celebrate the success and help strengthen ties that will support Lufthansa’s continued success in our market.

While the business development team from the Tampa Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco EDCs are conducting targeted meetings, delegates will have the opportunity to explore the region on their own and take part in high level group activities.

These events will include activities with Lufthansa Airlines executives and a formal reception at the Consul General’s residence in Frankfurt.  Delegates will also have the opportunity to leverage the mission to engage their clients and enhance their own business development efforts in the region.

The Tampa EDC visited Germany and Switzerland in 2013 to foster relationships in support of Edelweiss Airlines and again in 2015 for the inaugural direct fight of Lufthansa.  With both of these airlines seeing incredible success in our market, this trip will continue to build on the strong business ties between Tampa and Germany which support our region’s continued growth as an international hub.

There will not be Gold Key/Trade Matchmaker services in the formal agenda; however, we encourage companies interested in exporting to consider scheduling individual Gold Key service trips to coincide with the mission to take advantage of the group events.
