Tampa to welcome corporate real estate decision makers for IAMC Spring 2017 Forum

April 7, 2017

Starting April 8, roughly 500 leaders in industrial real estate and asset management will convene at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina for the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) Spring 2017 Professional Forum.

The Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) is the leading association of industrial asset management and corporate real estate executives, their suppliers, service providers and economic developers. Attendees also include corporations and Fortune 1000 companies involved in manufacturing, from food processing to technology.

“Tampa Bay is very excited to welcome these leaders within the corporate real estate industry,” said Craig J. Richard, CEcD, President and CEO of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation. “We’ve collaborated with IAMC to combine the best of what the Tampa area has to offer and what we love about our city with their world-class program to make one-of-a-kind conference.”

The theme of “Industrial Real Estate in the 21st Century” will be integrated throughout the Forum with keynote speakers sharing their insights on geopolitics, workforce development, technology, as well as current events and how they will impact 2017 and beyond.

IAMC members and professionals will be able to attend several workshops and sessions that focus on core corporate real estate practice areas and blend targeted professional development with world-class knowledge sharing, including:

  • Rx for Change: The Flexible Biopharmaceutical Facility of the Future
  • Changing Real Estate Space to Accommodate Workforce
  • Using Artificial Intelligence Software for Lease Abstraction

“IAMC works hard to host our forums in unique locations that will enrich our members in a diverse culture, and this year’s choice of the Tampa Bay area is a perfect match,” said Tate Godfrey, CEcD, Executive Director of IAMC. “For this Spring Forum we are very close to the highest number of registrations in our history. This demonstrates the appeal for not only the program we’ve put forth and the speakers we have featured but also excitement for the Forum to be hosted by Tampa.”

Scheduled receptions will be held at the Florida Aquarium, consistently ranked one of the best aquariums in the country, and at the Tampa Bay History Center, a Smithsonian Institution Affiliate with a focus on 12,000 years of Florida history.

Seventeen Tampa Bay area organizations forming the Host Committee collaborated for more than two years to help bring this event to Tampa. They are: Enterprise Florida, Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation, Tampa Bay Partnership, Visit Tampa Bay, TECO – An Emera Company, Plant City Economic Development Corporation, Tampa General Hospital, Port Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County, Pinellas County Economic Development, Pasco EDC, CareerSource Tampa Bay, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC, University of Tampa, Moffitt Cancer Center, CBRE, and Greenberg Traurig.
